Alzheimer’s Walk, Saturday, October 7, 8:30 am – 12:00 pm
Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Located in beautiful Sawyer Point, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.
de Cavel Family SIDS Foundation Brunch, Sunday, October 15, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
The Midwest Culinary Institute is the location for the de Cavel Friends & Family SIDS Brunch. Enjoy savory treats and scrumptious sweets prepared by some the best chefs, restaurateurs and foodies the Queen City has to offer. Each ticket purchased helps fund our outreach programs and research to eradicate SIDS. In addition to food and drink, guests can enjoy on-site music and kid-friendly activities.
Light the Night Walk, Thursday, October 19, 5:30 PM
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk funds treatments that are saving the lives of patients today. LLS is making cures happen by providing patient support services, advocating for lifesaving treatments and pioneering the most promising cancer research anywhere. And it’s all happening now. Not someday, but today. Each year friends, families and coworkers form teams to raise money in support of our mission. Walkers gather at Yeatman’s Cove for the 5:30 PM start.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Saturday, October 28, 9:00 AM
Making Strides events are an inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to raise awareness about the disease and raise money for the American Cancer Society. This helps to save lives from breast cancer by funding breast cancer research, providing free comprehensive information & support, and helping people take steps to reduce their risk of the disease or find it early when it’s most treatable.
Hunger 5K Run Walk, Saturday, November 4, 8:30 AM
The Hunger 5K in Blue Ash is a fun, family-friendly way for people of all ages to help those in need. Proceeds benefit Matthew 25: Ministries’ work with the poorest of the poor in Greater Cincinnati, throughout the U.S., and around the world. The race also kicks off the Hunger 5K Food Drive, which raises food products for local pantries and shelters. Since the race began, over 730,000 pounds of food has been distributed to people in need in Greater Cincinnati.
DAV Vet Run, November 11, 8:30 AM
The DAV 5K Run to Honor Veterans is a run, walk, roll and motorcycle ride that thanks those who served and raises awareness of the issues our ill and injured veterans face every day. The Motorcycle Honor Ride will kick off the start of the DAV 5K Cincinnati! All makes and models are welcome. All riders and passengers must register. 5K starts at 9:00 AM.
PETCASSO 2017, Saturday, November 18, 2017, 7:00 – 10:30 PM
The fourth annual Petcasso fundraiser, benefiting Pets in Need of Greater Cincinnati, will be an upscale evening featuring an elegant cocktail buffet, open bar, live music, bourbon pull, travel raffle, and a fabulous silent auction. Bid on fabulous items, including 20 Painted Pets — cat & dog forms transformed into one-of-a-kind works of art by Cincinnati artists. This year’s event will be held at the Center in downtown Cincinnati.
